President John Dramani Mahama is expected to launch the ‘Vegetable Development Project’ (Yeredua), under the Feed Ghana initiative at Kukuom in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region on Thursday, November 27, 2025.

The President would also perform a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a poultry, meat and feed processing factory at Bechem in the Tano South Municipality of the region.

Alfred Aboagye, the Special aide to Madam Charity Gardiner, the Ahafo Regional Minister disclosed the President’s itinerary to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Goaso, the regional capital on Wednesday.

On completion, he said the meat and poultry feed processing factory would create more job opportunities for the youth in the region, and urged the people to support President Mahama’s reset Ghana agenda.

He explained that the vegetable development project would also enhance vegetable production and thereby make the sector more attractive to the youth.

Aboagye urged the teeming unemployed youth in the country to engage in farming as the government do more to modernize the nation’s agriculture sector for job creation, poverty reduction and food sufficiency.
