The Fiscal Council plays a key role in strengthening fiscal discipline and oversight within Ghana's public financial management framework. It is tasked with providing independent analysis and advice on government fiscal policy, with the aim of promoting transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
If approved, the new Council is expected to support efforts to enhance fiscal prudence and guide sound economic decision-making at a time when Ghana continues to navigate complex macroeconomic challenges.
