President John Dramani Mahama is in Paris, France, to participate in the eighth edition of the Paris Peace Forum.

The announcement was made on the Presidency’s official X page on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Mahama bans first-class travel for government appointees, ministers

“President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Paris, France, to participate in the 8th Edition of the Paris Peace Forum, scheduled for October 29 and 30, 2025,” the post said.

The update further indicated that President Mahama will continue his diplomatic engagements in Egypt.

“From Paris, the President will travel to Cairo, Egypt, as a guest of the Egyptian President, to attend the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum on Saturday, November 1, 2025,” the statement added.

The two-day global forum, which officially opened on October 29, 2025, brings together world leaders, international organisations, civil society groups, experts, and businesses to deliberate on pressing global challenges, including conflict resolution, climate change, artificial intelligence, and technological innovation.

President Mahama is expected to return to Accra on Sunday, November 2, 2025.
