President Kufuor congratulates Chirac on his re-election

President John Agyekum Kufuor on Tuesday congratulated to Mr Jacques Chirac on his re-election as President of France. In a congratulatory message from the Foreign Ministry to France and copied to the media, the President said: "Your victory is no doubt a reaffirmation of the confidence the French people have in your leadership".

"We in Ghana rejoice in the opportunity provided by your renewed mandate to further deepen the bonds of friendship and co-operation between our two countries both at the bilateral and multilateral levels", the statement said.
