President Kufuor To Attend Islamic Conference?

President Kufuor has been invited to the opening session of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) summit in Malaysia in October.

The president is one of four heads of state, outside the 57-member Muslim block, to be invited. The others are Russia, South Africa and Phillipines.

Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo accepted the invitation by Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, her spokesman said Monday.

It's not yet known if President Kufuor will accept the invitation.
