Prefos Limited solves Ejisu lighting challenges

Prefos Limited, a leading electrical and civil engineering company has installed 50 KV horse power transformers in some communities in the Ejisu municipality in the Ashanti Region aiming to address the frequent power outages there.

The project, according to General Manager of Prefos Limited, Northern Sector, Mr. Frank Asamoah Agyemang follows several reports received from opinion leaders and residents against the government and management of ECG in Ejisu.

During the installation at Fumeso; one of the communities in the area, the General Manager stated the 50 KV horsepower transformers will bring an end to all the lighting challenges revealing other beneficial communities soon to be attended to.

"We can assure you that more communities including Kwamo, Krapa, Apradi, Kintinkrono and Boadi are also going to benefit from the projects we see today", the Manager revealed to journalist at site.

The exercise was under the supervision of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Ghana Highways Authorities (GHA)

According to Mr. Frank Asamoah Agyemang, Prefos Limited and GHA have provided street lights from the Ejisu township to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Police Station to curb carnages on the roads.

"Our roads have to be free from darkness so we can stop many carnages", the Prefos Limited General Manager pointed out.
