Pratt predicts fate of NPP aspirants

Renowned journalist and Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., on Tuesday took on himself the role of a prognosticator and made some predictions regarding which aspiring New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidates will come up tops when delegates go to congress to elect National Executives.

The NPP will be holding its National Delegates congress in Tamale on April 12, where national executives to spearhead affairs of the party will be elected. Candidates have already been vetted.

In the process, the Vetting Committee disqualified five persons from contesting their respective national positions: - Fred Kwaku Amankwah-Sarfo (Vice Chairman), Philomena Serwaa Akoto Sam (Vice Chairperson), Hajia Fati Amadu (Vice Chairperson), Kamal–deen Abdullai (National Nasara Coordinator) and Charles Adu Gyamfi (National Youth Organizer).

Giving his predictions on Peace FM's morning show, Kwesi Pratt stated; “I have critically analysed various happenings and as at last week, Mr. Paul Afoko was ahead of the Chairmanship race. As at last week, the contest for the chairmanship race was between Paul Afoko and Stephen Ntim; Jake Obetsebi Lamptey had a few hitches…so far it appears Mr. Paul Afoko is the leading contender”.

“Regarding the General Secretary position, it appears to be a straightforward contest between Sir John and Kwabena Agyepong and it is very difficult to tell who is going to win”.

“Vice Chairmanship slot: it is clear that Freddy Blay will be elected and John Boadu will be the next National Organiser, there is no competition,” predicts seasoned journalist turned seer.
