Ghanaian farmers, agro-processors and aquaculture companies will get expert practical advice on improved farming methods for better yields at Ghana’s first Value Added Agriculture Expo in August.
The Value Added Agriculture Expo West Africa, and SMARTFactories expo, will bring local and international experts to Accra to present the latest trends and techniques for improved farming and agro-processing.
In the Farmers’ Training Workshop area, visitors will benefit from sessions such as:

In an exciting development to the show, farmers can bring their diseased crop sample to the show and The Plant Doctor will provide advice and solutions on diseased crops.
For farmers interested in aquaculture, experts will elaborate on how to start a backyard aquaponics programme, and how to ensure balanced nutrition in aquaponics.
Experts will also offer opportunities for one-on-one discussions about particular farming and agro-processing challenges.
In addition to an exhibition of the latest agriculture and agro-processing technologies; the expo will also offer a series of specialised workshops and live demonstrations. Engaging interactive workshops will demonstrate practical tips and techniques including how to install irrigation systems; how to conduct soil testing; and ways to use hand tractors effectively.
