Positive Change Is A Mirage - Mahama

The People’s National Convention (PNC) Leader, Dr Edward Mahama has described the NPP government’s slogan of positive change as a mirage, saying it has not made any meaningful impact on the people. He said two years of ''positive change'' had brought no change in the lives of Ghanaians but rather poverty and deprivation.

Dr Mahama was addressing a rally organised by the Navrongo Central Constituency executive of the party. He said Ghanaians were not poor because of laziness but ''we are poor because the government has neglected us''.

He attributed the current hardships being faced by Ghanaians on the decision by the NPP administration to increase prices of petroleum products. Dr Mahama said the time had come to stop the NPP from administering the country since it had no solutions to the country’s problems.

This, he said would only come about if the electorate would vote the party out of power in the 2004 elections.
