Politicians should be straightforward, truthful - Jacob Osei Yeboah

Independent Presidential Candidate hopeful, Jacob Osei Yeboah, has said politicians in Ghana should be truthful to exhibit a high sense of honesty, humility and transparency and offer positive leadership qualities to win the confidence and respect of their people.

He called on all political parties to tolerate views from their opponents to ensure the growth of the country’s democracy.

He said it was better to be criticised for standing for the truth than to be applauded for championing evil.

“Politicians should be straightforward, truthful and bold in taking decisions when they know that they are on the right path even though such decisions may not be palatable to a section of the society,” he exclusively told Justice Kweku Annan on Sunday’s edition of Medo Ghana

However, he further tasked President Akufo Addo to be firm in his decisions once he knew he was on the right path and be prepared to crack the whip when necessary.

He, however, cautioned the politicians against complacency and advised him to strive to continue to unite the people to ensure peace, stability and rapid development to improve the living standard of the people.

Hon Osei Yeboah charged Ghanaians to be very mindful and careful dealing with politicians.
