Politically Incorrect Action Ends Sunyani MCE In Shame

A colourful ceremony at the forecourt of the Sunyani
Municipal Assembly last Friday meant to present relief items to disaster
victims was thrown into unprecedented state shock in the annals of Sunyani Municipal
Assembly when a family in the presence of journalists informed
the MCE Hon.Kwasi Oppong Nkrumah they were no longer interested in the relief
items to be presented to them. The unexpected news hit the MCE like a bombshell
and halted the ceremony for about five minutes for the officers to reorganize
themselves before the programme could continued.

It will be recalled , on the 9th September,2011
fire gutted the home of the Cubagee family at Abonsuam , a suburb of
Sunyanidestroying items estimated at GH¢25,000.00 according to report
from the Municipal Assembly Nadmo Office cited by this reporter .
Moment before the presentation , Mr.Uriel Cubagee who was at
the ceremony to receive the items on behalf of the family surprisingly informed
Hon. Oppong Nkrumah, the family was no longer interested in items and left the
forecourt.

When Mr.Cubagee was contacted by the press to ascertain the
reason behind his action , he declined comment and said it was a family decision.

Grapevine source indicate, the items , two packets of iron
sheets meant for the family were rejected on the grounds that the items had
political undertone and were
of inferior quality intended to ridicule the family as a result of the conduct
of former assemblyman Raphael Cubageetowards
the Assembly.
