Political parties urged to bury differences, support government

Accra, June 28, GNA - Reverend Gideon Titi-Ofei, Chief Executive of the Leaders Factory Group, an amalgamation of top-flight education preachers, has called on political parties to bury their differences and rally behind the government for national development.

He reminded the parties and Ghanaians that unity played a significant role in the socio-economic development of every nation. Rev. Titi-Ofei made the call at the opening of the first annex of the Sheepfold Chapel of the International Worship Centre in Accra on Sunday.

He said now that the elections were over, there was the need for political parties to work together as a team for the betterment of mother Ghana.

Rev. Titi-Ofei advised Ghanaians not to allow themselves to be used as agents of chaos and confusion to mar the peace of the country. He urged the ruling National Democratic Congress to accommodate the views and suggestions of other political parties for peace, stability and development.

On the recent spate of accidents, Rev. Titi-Ofei charged drivers to be careful on the roads and desist from driving under the influence alcohol and called for a review of the country's traffic laws. Rev. Titi-Ofei urged the youth to desist from get-rich-quick attitude and embrace the word of God to enable them to achieve their objectives in life.

He expressed the hope that the opening of the annex would help the Church to win more souls for Christ.

The church with its headquarters at the Spintex Road in Accra, has a membership of over 2000. 28 June 09
