The timely intervention of colleagues with the Form Police Unit (FPU) saved a police Corporal from being lynched by wee smokers behind Peace Fm at Tesano in Accra.

Corporal Dominic Adiali of FPU had sent his dress to be sowed but met the absence of the tailor so he decided to wait for him.

While waiting, some group of people came around and all of a sudden they started smoking leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

The policeman advised them to stop such acts but this did not go down well with them and all of a sudden one of them went in for a broken bottle and tried to strike his head.

A friend of the policeman decided to intervene but they also attempted attacking him too.

He then left the place towards the barracks but whilst going, they chased him with life-threatening objects including knives and stones but he was able to run to a safe place and called for help.

FPU personnel and other patrol teams responded to the call and upon reaching the scene, they saw Corporal Dominic Adiali on the ground with a mob attacking him; some wielding knives and stones. He was rescued and they managed to arrest 9 suspects including a female who were sent to the Tesano Police station for investigation.
