Police to investigate death of domestic assistant

Kumasi, Feb 13, GNA - A 17-year-old domestic assistant resident at Old Tafo in Kumasi was on Tuesday found hanging dead in her room. Dzifa Adi, who lived with one Kakraba Ben Komla, her cousin, is suspected to have committed suicide.

Komla in his statement to the police said the deceased was suspected to be pregnant at the time of her death.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Andrews George Kumah, Asawasi District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi that the girl was at home alone on that fateful day whiles the cousin and his wife were at work.

He said the couple had a telephone call to get back to their house only to find the deceased hanging in their room.

DSP Kumah said his outfit would launch a full scale investigation into the deceased's death after post mortem examination on the body.
