A team of police officers have stormed offices of the headquarters of Midland Savings and Loans headquarters around Shiashie in Accra over a video showing a policeman beating a nursing mother.

The video emerged Friday afternoon on social media showing a uniformed police officer mercilessly beating a woman carrying a baby.

Unconfirmed reports gathered so far suggest the nursing mother got into the banking hall a few minutes after the bank had closed and was asked to leave the hall.

She reportedly insisted on taking an amount of 250 from the bank but the police officer was asked to get her out.

The video shows the nursing mother been hit in the head and the face with an umbrella and later with his fists.

Meanwhile, workers at the office are tight-lipped on the matter claiming the Managing Director has instructed that no one speaks on the issue.
