Police releases body of slain assemblyman-aspirant

The body of the assemblyman –aspirant who was shot and killed has been released to his family for burial.

The body has been in the custody of the Wa police since the incident happened days ago.
The police released the remains to the family after an autopsy was conducted on it.

The 42-year-old teacher, Robert Saliah, is believed to have died from internal bleeding as a result of deep gunshot wounds.

The aspirant was attacked and shot Thursday while on his way back from a meeting with other aspirants.

Upper West regional police crime officer, Superintendent Daniel Kwantwi, told Starr News investigations are underway to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
