Police hunt for killers of Otumfuo’s Asamponhene

Police are currently on a hunt for killers of Otumfuo’s Asamponehene, Nana Fodour who was gruesomely murdered by unknown assailants while traveling on the Ejura–Nkoranza road.

MyNewsGh.com gathered that the chief was gruesomely stabbed to death by his attackers Sunday on night by his assailants according to police investigators.

The Police officers said they received information that a Toyota Landcruiser with registration number GC 7212-16 had been involved in an accident on the road but upon arrival at the scene, they realised it was the victim who was later identified as Nana Fodour had been stabbed.

The attackers reportedly also attempted to burn the vehicle.

The body of the deceased has since been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

Family sources disclosed to MyNewsGh.com that the murder could be linked to contract killing over what is yet to be unraveled.

Meanwhile, the Manhyia Palace is yet to officially comment on the matter.

Nana Fodour owned popular X5 pub at Ashanti New Town in Kumasi near the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ashanti Regional office.
