Police have warned students of Toase Senior High School in the Atwima Nwanbigya District over a planned protest against authorities of the school.

Police in Nkawie say they have picked intelligence that a Sport Tutor in the school is inciting the students to protest against a female colleague for what is yet to be uncovered.

According to the District Commander, the female tutor who is also housemistress stormed dormitories to retrieve unapproved gadgets from students who are supposed to be preparing for various subjects in the ongoing West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE).

The students last week reportedly attempted to attack the headmistress but failed due to the timely intervention of the police patrol team.

A week after, the Sports tutor organized the students to demonstrate against the authorities under pretexts of health walk where police rushed in to stop it.

DSP Emmanuel Asiamah in an interview with mynewsgh.com said, the Sports tutor was arrested and granted police inquiry bail while investigations continue.

The Commander has sent a stern warning to students and the teacher to stay away from any unlawful planned demonstration as they are alert to deal ruthlessly with any outlaw

He urged the students to study hard and be focus on writing their ongoing West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) examination.
