Gomoa Panfokrom (C/R), June 11, GNA - Plan Ghana has offered scholarship totalling 10, 000.00
Ghana Cedis to Twenty-five students of the Panfokrom Women's Training Institute to support their
education. The headmistress of the Institute, Madam Rebecca Ampah-Korsah made w ho this known at a meeting
with parents and guardians of students of the Institute at Gomoa Panfokro m, said the amount covers
tuition, boarding and lodging. She said any beneficiary student who fails in his or her terminal examination will have the scholarship
withdrawn. She therefore urged the parents and guardians to visit their wards a nd the school authorities to
acquaint themselves with the performance of their wards. Mr Joseph K. Assan, Plan Ghana Bawjiase Programme Area Manager, stressed the need for parents
and guardians to visit the school, adding that, the visit contributes greatly towards the performance of
their wards. Mr Assan pointed out that the withdrawal condition of non-performing
students attached to the
scholarship was to ensure that beneficiaries took their studies serious. Mr J. Y. Owusu-Kwarteng, a parent, thanked both Plan Ghana and the Management of the Institute for
the assistance to the children and assured them of their cooperation and support in ensuring that their
wards studied hard.
