A physically-challenged barber, Kojo Pozo has been lynched at Tuabodom, a suburb of Prestea in the Prestea-Huni Valley of the Western Region for snatching a woman's handbag.

Speaking to Energy FM, some residents explained that, the 38-year-old barber and his friends snatched the bag, belonging to the market woman who was on her way to take the Metro Mass bus to Kumasi.

The woman then called for help, compelling his accomplices to bolt, leaving behind Kojo Pozo who was unable to run.

They further explained that although the barber has been stealing for some time, the police refuses to arrest him, hence the decision to take the law into their own hands.

Meanwhile, the Municipal police crime officer, DSP Simon Denteh says the body has been deposited at the Prestea Government Hospital while the police have commenced investigation into the matter.
