Luck run out for two suspected robbers Tuesday when they tried snatching money from a customer who had just visited the bank.
The two robbers narrowly escaped death after a hot pursuit from bystanders which resulted in their motorbikes colliding with an oncoming vehicle in front of the Paloma Hotel in Accra.
The incident left one of the suspected robbers seriously injured and is now in police custody. The other, however, managed to escape but without the Ghc 7,000 booty.
The robbers left behind their two motorbikes.
Abdul Razak, a worker at the hotel, who helped recover the money told Starr News he was mistaken for one of the robbers and got slaps as a result.
The Nima Police has taken over the case.
