Philanthropist donates to Kumasi South Hospital

Kumasi, Nov. 10, GNA - A Ghanaian Midwife based in Germany on Monday donated a number of hospital equipment worth 100,000 Euros to the Kumasi South Hospital at a ceremony in Kumasi.

The items included suction pump, recovery beds, photo therapy, theatre beds, blood pressure monitors, anaesthesia instruments, patients' trollings, theatre lamps, vacuum extractor, delivery beds, incubators and infusion stands. Madam Mary Kusi, who donated the items, urged Ghanaians to be hard working and patriotic in all their endeavours for increased productivity to benefit the nation.

She said it was unfortunate that most Ghanaians put on lukewarm attitude to work whilst in the country, but were ready to do otherwise when they travel outside, and stressed that this was unpatriotic. She urged citizens to work hard in developing their own country. Receiving the items, Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim, Ashanti Regional Director of Health Services, thanked the donor for the gesture and urged authorities of the Kumasi South Hospital to take good care of the items.
