Mr Hayford Atta Krufi, has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) with effective from March 13th, 2017.

Mr Atta Krufi who took over from Mr Kofi Anokye Owusu-Darko, is an experienced business executive with an extensive knowledge and skills in institutional leadership, spanning more than 30 years in both public and private sectors in Ghana and the United Kingdom.

A statement issued by the NPRA and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday said Mr Atta Krufi had extensive skills in project management, staff training and development and excellent record in organisational planning and improvement.

Until his appointment Mr Atta Krufi was the Project Management Consultant at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) at the Ministry of Education Funds and Project Management Unit.

The statement said Mr Atta Krufi, who is also an Educationist, held positions such as Executive Principal, Deputy Principal and Principal in schools and colleges, and had a brilliant truck record of turning them into outstanding schools by OFSTED standards in the UK.

He also worked as an Executive Director of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) in the UK, and successfully developed business models to help small and medium businesses start up.

In Ghana, Mr Atta Krufi worked as a private legal practitioner with Okomfo Anokye Chambers, Kumasi and the Ghana Armed Forces Legal Services.

Mr Atta Krufi is a solicitor and a barrister and holds a Masters of Arts (MA) in Education from the London Metropolitan University; Post Graduate Certificate of Education from University of London; LLM in International Investment Law from University of North London; Bachelor of Laws and Barrister-at-Law from University of Ghana and Ghana Law School.
