One of Peacejam Ghana's mentors, Emmanuel Acquah has been norminated for the education category of this year's coke young achievers awards. The awards which is part of activities marking the 60th anniversary of Ghana's independence by the coca cola campany, is to honour young people like Emmanuel who are impacting on society through leadership.
Speaking in an interview in Accra, Emmanuel Acquah said in as much as he is excited about his normination, he sees it as a challenge to him to be more useful to society.
"I didn't expect it but I am happy. I think it is one of the mediums through which I am being informed to be more useful to myself and society," he said.
Emmanuel is a 22-year-old student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, pursuing a bachelor of arts in communication studies.
He is an author, a project manager and a business consultant from CMI, UK and the institute of Consulting, UK.
He is the current president of Cajole Foundation; a foundation that has interest in human development. Cajole empowers the vulnerable, educate the public on their civic responsibilities, advocates for the rights of the vulnerable, research into issues affecting human development and creates opportunities for the weak and marginalised in society.
Emmanuel has worked with international organizations such as the international Service, a human right organization in UK and Challenges World Wide, an economic empowerment outfit in UK, Tamale and Accra .
