"Party of God" out on friday

A new political party is set to rock the political landscape with a thunderous quake that will shock the nation’s political wigs. The latest giant on the block, the New Vision Party (NVP) was founded by a man of God, Prophet Daniel Nkansah who is also the founder of New Division Pentecostal Church, which has its headquarters in Accra.

A statement signed and issued in Accra from the Press Secretariat of the party said the NVP was formed after God directed his power-man to rise and gather together men and women of like mindedness to save His model country from further suffering and disappointment. The statement added that the NVP should not be likened to other political party, which after receiving their certificate, go to political hibernation, but it is geared towards winning political power this December.

The New Vision Party is set to compete and contest fully in the December presidential and parliamentary elections. Prior to that, the party will organize regional and national congresses to elect officers after it has received its certificate on Friday to contest the elections. The statement made it clear that the NVP, being a direct product of God’s directive to His servant on earth, is dedicated to serve the nation with integrity, honesty, truth, humility and respect of one’s religion, tribe, gender or social status.

The NVP received its provisional certificate last December, after meeting the full requirements of the Electoral Commission and so it will be awarded the final certificate to operate fully as a political party this Friday. The party has white, gold and mauve as its colours with a lantern at the centre and its motto is “Development In Freedom. From Friday when all things go according to plan and Prophet Nkansah lands his final certificate, the total number of registered parties would be 15.
