Parliament approves first quarter 2002 expenditure

Parliament on Friday approved 3.4 trillion cedis as provisional estimate of government expenditure for first quarter 2002.

The package is a stop-gap measures to keep government machinery running until the next budget and appropriate bill is considered in March 2002. All 130 members present voted for the resolution.

Meanwhile, various bills have been approved by the house. This includes National AIDS Commission Bill, Bank of Ghana Bill and National Reconciliation Bill.
