Parents asked to invest their children's education

Foase (Ash), March 7, GNA - Parents have been asked to invest in the=

education of their children, including Information and Communication Technology training, to enable them to acquire skills and knowledge requi= red at the labour market. Mr Anthony Agyemang, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima-Kwanwoma, who made the call, also appealed to individuals and organisations to support government in creating conducive environment for=

academic work. The DCE was addressing a parade of school children to mark Ghana's 53rd independence anniversary on the theme "Investing in the youth for a bette= r Ghana", at Foase.

Mr. Agyemang appealed to the youth to be disciplined, honest, respectful patriotic and shun violence and other social vices. He said the district would soon receive its share of free exercise books and school uniforms provided by the Government, for distribution to=

needy school children. Prizes were presented to schools that excelled in the march past.
