Former Government Spokesperson on Governance and Security, Dr Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the establishment of the Patriotic Institute, describing it as a bold and visionary step toward strengthening leadership and ideological clarity within the party.

In a statement signed by him and made available to GhanaWeb, Dr Boakye-Danquah praised the initiative as a bold and visionary step that demonstrates the party’s commitment to building leadership capacity and promoting ideological clarity among its members.

“The Patriotic Institute is a strategic investment in human capital, equipping party members with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to navigate the complexities of governance and public service,” he said.

He further noted that the initiative aligns with global best practices in political party development and will enhance unity, policy articulation, and the long-term sustainability of the party.

Dr Boakye-Danquah also commended the institute’s inclusive approach, which seeks to train all party members.

He said it demonstrates the NPP’s strong grassroots orientation and commitment to collective ownership of its vision.

“This democratic ethos will undoubtedly foster a more cohesive and motivated party, capable of addressing Ghana’s challenges with innovation and integrity,” he added.

He encouraged the NPP to collaborate with ideological think tanks such as the Danquah Institute and Kandifo Institute to sustain the intellectual foundation of the party’s ideals.

“The Patriotic Institute has the potential to become a beacon of leadership development and ideological grounding, not only for the NPP but for political parties across the African continent,” the statement added.

He congratulated the party leadership and membership for the visionary step toward a stronger, more capable, and united party.
