Pageant to promote domestic tourism

Accra , Nov. 11, GNA -The Ghana Domestic Tourism Company, an organisation committed to encouraging domestic tourism in Ghana on Friday announced a beauty pageant dubbed: "Miss DOT GH." Miss DOT GH will be used to promote and create awareness for Ghana's domestic tourism, a statement issued by Barima Adu Asamoa, Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Domestic Tourism Company said. "We aim to do this by encouraging Ghanaians to support the growth of our domestic tourism industry, which has a potential to provide meaningful jobs and contribute to the economy," the statement said. It said the pageant is exclusively for Ghanaian ladies and the winner would receive $1,000 cash award, a brand new car and $1,000 worth of a gift set as well as a fully catered holiday to a splendid location in Ghana.
