Global sportswear giants PUMA has revealed the inspiration behind Ghana’s new Black Stars jerseys for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, with designs rooted deeply in national identity and cultural heritage.

The kits were revealed on March 19, 2026, in New York City, with PUMA describing the designs as “unapologetic and built to stand out.”

The home kit features a clean white base, symbolizing Ghana’s spirit and unity, elevated by bold geometric patterns in vibrant shades of red, yellow, and green.

According to PUMA, the design reflects the country’s energy and rhythm, bringing the national colours to life through motion and expression.

The iconic Black Star sits proudly at the center, reinforcing Ghana’s identity on the global stage.

Meanwhile, the away kit takes more cultural direction. Designed in a striking yellow, it draws inspiration from traditional Kente cloth, incorporating intricate patterns that highlight Ghana’s heritage.

Red trims and the Black Star further connect the design to the nation’s history, while the overall look is intended to radiate power and optimism.

The new kits are expected to be worn as Ghana national football team aim to make a strong impression in the upcoming FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
