PPP promises to empower women

Nana Owusu Ofori, Progressive People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary aspirant of the Effutu constituency, has said the empowerment of women would be a priority of a PPP government.

He noted that women play important roles in national development and stressed that the PPP would empower them so that they could meaningfully contribute to national development.

Nana Ofori, who was addressing a harvest organized by the Ebenezer Methodist Church Women’s Ministry at Winneba, said a PPP government would also promote child-girl education.

He said the PPP was the only party with vision and selfless leaders that could develop the country.

Nana Ofori appealed to the electorate to vote Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, PPP flagbearer, as President of Ghana in Election 2012.

Nana Ofori also asked them to elect him as Member of Parliament for the area to enable him to improve their living conditions.

He called on the people, particularly the youth, to avoid violence during the polls.

Nana Ofori donated undisclosed cash towards the harvest.
