Over 800 youth seeking military recruitment in Volta

Ho, March 10, GNA- Personnel of the 66 Artillery Regiment, in Ho, on Monday screened over 800 youth from the Volta Region seeking recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces.

The short-listed applicants including about 150 young women reported at the Ho Sports Stadium as early as 0530hours to go through, body selection, basic medical screening, verification of certificates, age, height and general fitness.

Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Kotia, Commanding Officer of the Regiment, told the Ghana New Agency (GNA) that successful applicants would be made to take aptitude test before final selection. Meanwhile, hundreds of applicants lined up outside the locked Stadium gate, said although they were not short-listed they were hopeful of being called to take the places of short-listed applicants who might fail to report for the exercise.
