Over 300 pupils enrolled in two schools in Tamale

Tamale, Sept. 16, GNA - Over 300 pupils were on Tuesday enrolled into school during "My first day at school" in the Sakasaka and the Dahinsheli cluster of schools in the Tamale Metropolis. "My first day at school" was introduced by the former Kufuor Administration three years ago to whip up the interest of pupils and parents to send their children to school and to ensure that they are enrolled and retained in school.

At the Sakasaka Cluster of Schools, Madam Zakaria Lubena said 39 pupils enrolled into Primary One "A" with 28, 17 and 34 pupils enrolling in Primary One "B", "C" and "D".

At the Dahinsheli Cluster of Schools, 42 pupils were enrolled in Primary One "A" and 50 in Primary One "B" and 90 pupils were enrolled in KG two.

The Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Stephen Sumani Nayina, Alhaji Harunah Friday, the Metropolitan Chief Executive and Madam Elizabeth De-Souza, Regional Director of Education, visited the schools and interacted with the pupils.

They distributed biscuits, soft drinks and some Ghana @50 drinking cups to the pupils.
