Otumfuo meets 2012 Presidential candidates in Kumasi

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, on Tuesday held a meeting with all the presidential candidates for Election 2012, in Kumasi.

Although the meeting was held behind closed doors, and the agenda was not disclosed to the media, it was expected to focus on the need to maintain peace before, during and after the December 7 polls.

The meeting, which is being held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, has attracted supporters of political parties that would participate in the December 7 polls.

The presidential candidates were expected to release a communiqué for good conduct and behavior before, during and after the elections.

Also in attendance at the meeting were former Presidents; Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor, Chief Justice Theodora Wood and leadership of the various political parties.
