Head coach of the Ghana national football team, Otto Addo, has offered a simple yet vivid explanation of his tactical approach, likening his football philosophy to the way different meals are eaten.
Speaking in his pre-match interview ahead of the game against Germany, Otto Addo emphasized that his style is largely dependent on the opponent his team faces.
“When I eat fufu, I use my hand. When I eat soup, I use a spoon. And when I eat rice, I use a fork,” he explained, drawing laughter while making a serious point about adaptability.
The Black Stars coach noted that just as different foods require different utensils, matches demand varying tactical approaches.
According to him, there is no single fixed style that guarantees success in international football, stressing the importance of flexibility and reading the game.
However, the coach insists that results and effectiveness against specific opponents remain his top priority.
