The Director of Operations for Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign, Charles Bissue, has expressed optimism that other camps within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will unite behind the former Assin Central MP should he emerge victorious in the party’s upcoming presidential primary slated for January 2026.

Speaking during a panel discussion on Metro TV on Saturday, October 4, 2025, Bissue noted that Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign is progressing steadily and resonating well with party delegates across the country.

He emphasised that the team has adopted a strategic and disciplined approach aimed at connecting directly with grassroots supporters.

“So far, it is going well. Normally, we work quietly and wait for those out there to tell you how you’re doing. He [Kennedy Agyapong] started a storm from the Western and Western North regions, meeting the actual delegates,” Bissue said.

He explained that unlike some other aspirants who focus mainly on constituency executives, Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign strategy prioritises engagements with the delegates who will determine the party’s flagbearer.

“He believes these delegates are the ones who will do the legwork; the house-to-house work, when he becomes flagbearer. So, he needs to appreciate them and give them that respect. That’s why he’s visiting all 276 constituencies,” he added.

According to Bissue, the campaign, dubbed the “Unity Tour,” is designed not only to consolidate support for Kennedy Agyapong but also to promote harmony within the NPP.

“We are hoping for the best. As a party, I also believe that once he wins, the others will join us. The tour he’s doing is called the Unity Tour,” he said.

He further described the tour as part of a broader movement for “positive aggression,” a term he used to describe Kennedy Agyapong’s assertive yet constructive political style.

“There’s something we’re calling positive aggression where he says things as they are. In our politics now, we need somebody to come in with that political revolution, not through the barrel of a gun, but through our democracy,” Bissue explained.
