Your authoritative Radio News has gathered that Space FM’s deputy news editor, Seth Opoku Agyemang, has taken over as the station’s news editor following the sudden resignation of Francis Owusu-Ansah as the news editor.Deep throat sources at the station told Radio News that some members of the news team received the news of Owusu-Ansah’s resignation with shock. No clear reasons were assigned for his action but it is believed there was no way anybody at the station was going to address them. With Opoku Agyemang, the one-time Brong-Ahafo regional correspondent for Metro TV now in charge of affairs at the newsroom, the return of Kwabena Kyere Stuggart and the presence of Serwaa Akoto, Space FM appears ready to ward off any challenge new entrants Storm FM may pose in the next few days ahead.Opoku Agyemang joined Space FM in 2004 and has been a pillar in the news room with his insightful reports especially in politics and education. He was until recently the host of the station’s political talk show, the “Hot Points” and the producer of “Space Morning Flight”.
His ‘dismissal’ from the two programmes has still not been explained.
