Kwame Duncan, Central Regional Minister Kwame Duncan, Central Regional Minister

The Central Regional Minister Kwame Duncan is promising to focus on revamping the fallen standards of education in the central region.

His administration, he said will invest more in education delivery in the region as despite the region been the hub for the finest schools in the country, few students are able to make it to the best schools in the region.

Many, he explained are also not able to make it to school at all especially the second cycle schools due to poverty that has engulfed the region.

Quality education delivery, he stressed will help end the high rate of employment in the region as the youth will be equipped with the right skills which will make them employable thereby reversing the region’s negative outlook as the fourth poorest region in the country after the three regions in the north.

Addressing the media in Cape Coast, Mr Duncan explained that it’s time for all to put their differences aside and work together as a region to help improve education delivery in the region.

Ultimate news’ Baah Acheamfuor reported that Mr Duncan further pledged to operate an open door policy especially to all well meaning persons who would want to support in the forward match of the region especially on education issues so that the region can rediscover its lost glory as the citadel of education.
