One year in office: Akufo-Addo meets journalists today

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will on Wednesday January 17, 2018 engage journalists following his one year assumption of office.

The President was sworn in office in January 7, 2017 at the Independence Square, Accra.

He wrestled power from the former President John Dramani Mahama during the 2016 general elections with an unprecedented votes margin.

The Akufo-Addo’s government has been able to fulfil some of its promises, including the free SHS policy, Ghana Post GPS-Digital addressing system and others.

The Zongo development fund, special prosecutor, Northern development project bills have all been passed into law by Parliament.

But some political parties and a section of Ghanaians have stated that the government is freight with alleged corruption, nepotism, cronyism, red-tapism etc.

The President last year had a similar encounter with the press.
