"Okumkom" Strikes Again

The controversial former Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolis, Nana Akwasi Agyemang, has broken his silence at last.

Nana Akwasi Agyemang, who was once a darling ?boy? of Ex-President Jerry Rawlings, dumped the NDC which he served with glee, four hours after President Kufour was sworn into office and like all opportunist politicians in the country decamped to the ruling NPP and publicly disowned the former President and his Party.

Nana Akwasi Agyemang has struck again labeling the NDC government as a corrupt regime and describing President Kufour and the NPP as the best thing that ever happened to Ghana.

The Ashanti Regions most recognized political chameleon stated at a post NPP rally held at Kumasi?s Jackson Park, that the NPP is the most formidable party in the country. He predicted at overwhelming victory for President Kufour in the forthcoming general elections stressing that the NPP?s policies are transparent and widely accepted by the people of Ghana.

?After accessing the performance of the NPP administration, I am deeply convinced to join the party in its quest to stabilize the economy of the country.? Nana Akwasi Agyemang told his reporter. He denied assertions that he is a stomach politician stressing that his intention is only to offer support to the NPP to develop the nation.

The reformed former KMA Mayor showered praises on the President for his diplomatic policy and advised Ministers serving in the NPP government to avoid corrupt practices that will make nonsense of the Presidents slogan of Zero Tolerance for corruption.
