Ghanaian media personality Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah has thrown his support behind Agona Senior Technical School’s (ASTEC) National Science and Maths Quiz team, commending them for their hard work, determination, and commitment to academic excellence.

Afrifa-Mensah, who has been backing the team in their preparations, urged the students to remain focused as they gear up for the prestigious competition.

During a visit to the school, he encouraged them to stay confident and focused as they prepare to represent ASTEC on the national stage.

As part of the visit, he made a personal financial donation to both the NSMQ team and the school’s cadet corps.

In a Facebook post on August 6, 2025, announcing the gesture, he wrote,
