Oguaa goes agog with jubilation

Cape Coast, Dec.7, GNA - Numerous supporters of both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have taken to the streets of Cape Coast jubilant on the completion of the counting of results at the various polling stations. At polling stations that the NDC has won, there are shouts of 'yeresesamu', 'yeresesamu', while NPP supporters also chanted their party's slogans at places their candidate has won amidst the tooting of motor cycle and car horns.

On some of the streets, the jubilant crowd was so thick that vehicular movement had become difficult, and many of the NDC supporters are claiming victory, particularly for their parliamentary candidate, Mr Ebo Barton-Odro, 57-year old legal practitioner.

Mr Kwamena Ollenu Amponsah-Dadzie, 54, a legal practitioner and Mr Joel Eshun, a 24-year-old student, for the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) also contested the seat.

The others are Mr Emmanuel Kweku Sagoe, 62, a marketing and public relations officer and Ato Aidoo Nyanor, a 39 year-old businessman. 07 Dec. 08
