Two people have been confirmed dead after a helicopter crash-landed at the TMA Daycare premises at Site 18 in Tema Community One on Monday afternoon, March 16, 2026.
The helicopter, with registration number G9-ADV, reportedly crashed around 2:59 p.m., prompting a swift response from personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
According to the GNFS, firefighters from the Tema Metro Fire Station arrived at the scene within three minutes after receiving the distress call.

The aircraft was found badly damaged and mangled upon impact, requiring firefighters to conduct extrication operations to retrieve the occupants trapped inside.
Authorities confirmed that two male occupants who were on board the helicopter lost their lives in the crash. Their bodies have since been retrieved and handed over to the police for further investigation.
Regional commanders of both the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Police Service in Tema are currently at the scene coordinating emergency operations and managing the situation.
Investigations are expected to determine the cause of the crash as authorities continue to assess the scene.
