For the second year running, members of Ghana’s multiple-award-winning spine clinic, Nova Wellness Centre (NWC), spent quality time with the children and caregivers of the Nyame Dua Children’s Home, Nanakrom-Ashaley Botwe, Accra, ahead of the Christmas festivities.

A delegation led by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and lead Chiropractor at the Nova Wellness Centre, Dr Naa Asheley Dordor also donated several items and cash to the orphanage for the upkeep of the children at the home.

According to Dr Dordor, the gesture is in fulfilment of the centre's pledge to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged every year.

She said it is to also ensure that children at the facility are not left out in the celebration of the birth of Christ. Items donated included, foodstuff, sundries, confectioneries, toys, clothes and cash.

She said the donations were made possible by various members and well-wishers of the Accra based alternative healthcare facility.

The Nyame Dua Children’s home is recognized as a foster home by the Department of Social Welfare. It was established in 2005 and provides shelter for destitute and abandoned children.

The Nova Wellness Center adopted the orphanage in the year 2017 and has since supported it in cash and in kind.

The founder and caregiver of the Nyame Dua Children’s home, Mr Paul Anaba noted the donation will go a long way to help the children at the home this Christmas season and beyond.
