Ghanaian media personality and entertainment pundit, MC Yaa Yeboah, has fired back at critics who accused her of “choosing sides,” after her public spat with Evangelist Papa Shee on live TV.
Recently on United Showbiz, Yeboah and Papa Shee were involved fiery verbal exchange over the ongoing controversy surrounding Daddy Lumba’s burial plans.
Social media users accused her of picking the side of Priscilla Owusu (Odo Broni), who was engaged in a legal battle over the right to perform widowhood rites at the funeral of the late Daddy Lumba.
Some netizens argued that she should remain neutral rather than taking sides, given her role as a pundit.

However, in a recent post on Facebook, the United Showbiz TV host stated that she has the right to pick her own sides.
“It’s funny how people think they can choose a side on any topic and defend it to the core … But the moment I choose a side and stand by it, suddenly it becomes a problem. … My voice is not optional. My stance is not something anyone gets to approve or deny,” she posted.
She insisted that her support and opinions are valid and that she refuses to be silenced.
“I will choose the side I want. I will defend the side I want. And I will not shrink, bend, or apologise just to make other people comfortable. Nobody, and I repeat, nobody, can ever bully me into silence,” she declared.
MC Yaa Yeboah’s post comes in the wake of a contentious discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz, where she accused Papa Shee of bias and speaking untruths about the late musician’s funeral arrangements.
Papa Shee had earlier disputed the widely publicised burial date, December 13, 2025, citing unresolved issues such as pending autopsy results and travel difficulties for some of Daddy Lumba’s children.
