Noble Nicholas Bortey wins a double at Pan African Regional Honorary Awards

Nicholas Bortey, the Chief Executive Officer of Liranz limited has been awarded as the Country winner for the ICT Sector in Ghana by the CEO Global’s Pan African Awards 2019.

He further won the Ultimate for the West African Region as the Regional Winner in the ICT sector. This was to honor his immense contribution in Ghana and the West Africa region for development of ICT.

The CEO Global presented him with the awards at the recently held Regional Conference on Forward Thinking for Africa’s Future/Awards 2019 held at the plush Golden Tulip Hotel- Accra. In attendance were other award winners from the Central and West African sub-regions.

The CEO Global’s Pan African Awards programme celebrates men who are making outstanding contributions in their economies and respective sectors throughout Africa. Making use of an independent judging panel(s) of business leaders, they identify Africa’s leading men and their achievements are recognised at regional events across the continent culminating in a continental gala event where the leading man in a variety of economic sectors is identified.

Mr. Nicholas Bortey has over a decade of experience in IT Service Management, IT Service delivery approach, Project management, Digital Transformation strategy, Business Transformation, IT Strategy management and Alignment, Brand Development, Multimedia Communication, Business development and entrepreneurship. He has consulted at both executive and operational levels helping organizations achieve real business value with appropriate technology.

After stints with major Companies in Ghana, Mr. Nicholas Bortey established Liranz Limited in March 2012. His major vision was to redefine IT service delivery in Ghana and beyond. Mr. Bortey has successfully grown the business with his strong team at Liranz Limited to become the preferred IT Consultancy and Managed Service Partner in Ghana and beyond.

His immense contribution to ICT and entrepreneurship has earned him the award, “Man of the Year Information Technology” by the Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards 2018.

He has broken several barriers in the Information Technology sector in Ghana which has been recognized by the International Nobles Awards and also been inducted into the West Africa Nobles Forum 2018.

He was adjudged the best innovation & technology entrepreneur of the year 2017 by Ghana Entrepreneurs and Corporate Executives (GECE) Awards 2017, 40 under forty innovation & technology category winner 2017, Young ICT entrepreneur of the year 2017 by GITTA.

The Confederation of West African Youths have also acknowledged him as one of the 100 Most Influential Young Persons in West Africa. He was also being nominated in the Ghana’s 50 most influential and Ghana’s 100 most influential.

He has also contributed to academia by participating in a research study into IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) space in Ghana with Dr. Mohammed Amir Anwar from the University of Oxford.

His company, Liranz Limited by dint of hard work has won IT Consulting firm of the year for Three consecutive years, 2017, 2018 and 2019 by Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA). The company has also won the IT Managed Services Provider for Two consecutive times; 2018 and 2019.

Apart from GITTA, Liranz Limited also been awarded as the Business Innovation of The Year Award 2019 by Invest in Africa and the West Africa Business Excellence Awards as the Most Outstanding ICT firm for the year 2017.
