Nkoranza (B/A), Sept. 20, GNA – Mr. James Adu-Bonnah, the acting Manager of Nkoranza District Health Insurance Scheme, has appealed to field workers of the Scheme to work hard to register more people.
He appealed to Assembly Members, traditional authorities and religious bodies to help educate the people to register with the scheme.
Mr. Adu-Bonnah was addressing more than 100 field workers of the scheme at Nkoranza at their review meeting aimed at addressing the challenges that face the scheme.
He told the field workers to visit the people in their homes and to encourage them to patronize the scheme so the district could achieve its set target.
Mr. Adu-Bonnah called on the people of Nkoranza to feel proud of being the pace-setters of the National Health Insurance Scheme in the country and register with the district one.
The Public Relations Officer of the Scheme, Mr. Samuel Adu-Poku, said 46,044 persons out of the estimated target of 80,000 had registered with the scheme.
