New TESCON executives inaugurated

Cape Coast, Aug. 9, GNA- The National Youth Organising Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Isaac Esiema on Saturday called on students with the party to be wary of those who do not criticise the government constructively.

Mr Esiema made the call when he inaugurated the new executives of the Cape Coast Polytechnic chapter of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy (TESCON) of the NPP at Cape Coast.

He urged students to do everything possible to defend the constitution to deepen the democratic system in the country. The Central Regional Youth Organiser of the party, Alhaji Mohammed Gibrime reminded the executives, of the big task ahead of them by ensuring that they win more supporters for the party.

Mr. Emmanuel Ebow Jackson, President of the new executive urged members to work hard, be committed and united than before to return the party to power.

Mr Jackson appealed to the rank and file of the party to apply pragmatic means of resolving all conflicts within the party. The out-going president, Mr Bismarck Afful, urged the government to conduct investigation into the "recent coup plot attempt and make those involved to face the law".

Other members of the executive include, Mr Emmanuel Acquah, vice-president with Mr Abdulai Alidu and Mr Samuel Dartey as secretary and assistant secretary respectively.
