New Juaben presiding member outlines vision

Koforidua, March 29, GNA - The new Presiding Member of the New Juaben Municipal Assembly, Mr George Abdul Dramani, on Tuesday said he would ensure that the assembly worked as a team in order to achieve development.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Koforidua, he said success could not be achieved if structures on the ground were not strengthened.

Mr Dramani said his outfit would equip the assembly members with ideas that would help them execute their duties effectively. "There is an over dependence on the assembly's resources by assembly members, so I will teach them how to write proposals to seek financial support to help them pursue their projects," he said. He said he would ensure that the assembly members were also able to mobilize funds in their communities so that they could also aid the assembly's coffers.

Mr Dramani advised the assembly members to promote unity and cooperation among themselves and the unit committees adding that they should put aside political differences if they want the progress of the municipal assembly.
