New Juaben citizens in US supports Koforidua Regional Hospital

Members of New Juaben Residents Association in New England in the USA, has donated assorted medical equipment to the Koforidua Regional Hospital.

The equipment estimated at $20,000 include, face masks, oxygen masks, feeding tubes, nebulizer masks, nebulizers, apnea machines, lumber puncher , syringes and needles, isolation gowns and disposable medical consumables for the Children‘s ward and other departments of the hospital.

Nana Awauh Panyin III, Asukwahene of New Juaben Traditional Area, known in private life as Mr Harry Danso, who presented the equipment on behalf of the association to the Hospital on Wednesday, said the equipment was acquired through the efforts of the association in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts Hospital.

He said the association would continue to assist the Regional Hospital to be able to provide the people with good quality health care.

Nana Panyin said, there was the need to create specialized departments for the hospital to be able to provide good quality health care.

He said the association would adopt the hospital, and collaborate with its management to provide the needed equipment to facilitate health care delivery.

Receiving the equipment, Dr Daniel Asare, Medical Director of the Koforidua Regional Hospital, thanked the association for the gesture.**
